Hello! My name is Jim Hughes, the owner of Jim's Roofing since 1984, with no complaints EVER from the BBB or Board of Contractors. I became a roofer in 1981 and went to work for my mother's uncle. He started his business in 1920. He had many older roofers that had been working for him for 40 years. I learned a lot from the older, experienced roofers. When my uncle died and the business closed after 65 years in operation, I went to work for the largest commercial roofing company in Richmond at the time, and learned a lot about new roofing products and proper specifications for roofing.

I got my business license in roofing in 1984 working weekends while also working for my uncle's roofing company during the week. That was a 60-hour work-week! I started to work for myself full-time in 1990 with customers like 7-11 and AT&T.

We are very proud to say we have no unsatisfied customers and will never leave a job till the customer is totally satisfied. The quality of the job and satisfaction of the customer always comes first before we re paid a dime. An old roofer who worked for my uncle said that " you're only as good as your last job".

All completed roof installations are inspected twice: once by the foreman and once by the supervisor. They fill out a thorough inspection report that they personally oversee. Pictures are taken of any problem the supervisor sees that needs to be fixed before the bill is sent. All roof installations workmanship is warranted against leaks for 5 years and includes a manufacturers warranty.

All of our foremen follow strict roof installation specifications so that every roof we install is the same, consistent quality as all the roofs we install. That way, we insure our quality control with no problems for the life of the roof!
